December 2016

The RoHS exemptions stakeholder consultation has been closed.
It covered two requests for new exemptions:
Request A-2016 „Cadmium in video cameras designed for use in environments exposed to ionising radiation” and Request B- 2016 „Lead and cadmium in PVC profiles of electric windows and doors”. Further informations are available here.

October 2016

A new stakeholder consultation covering two exemption requests to the RoHS Directive will be launched on Friday, 28 October 2016 and will run until 22 December 2016. Interested stakeholders also have the possibility to register under Registration in order to regularly receive information on new consultation processes and the project progress.

August 2016

This RoHS evalution project website gives an overview on activities related to the adaptation of the RoHS2 Directive’s Annexes III and IV (Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment).

In the Background section you will find information on the project, related legislation as well as a previous assessments. The EU CIRCABC website (Browse categories > European Commission > Environment > RoHS Evaluations, at top left, click on „Library“) provides an overview on all contributions that have been made under previous assessments.
